Medicare Advantage Plans

Understanding Medicare Advantage Plans...

Medicare Advantage Plans provide an alternative to traditional Medicare by offering coverage managed through private insurance companies approved by Medicare. Unlike Original Medicare, these plans bundle Medicare Parts A, B, and often Part D (prescription coverage) into a single plan. Enrollment in both Medicare Parts A and B is required, and the Part B premium still applies. Once enrolled, a Medicare Advantage plan will serve as your primary Medicare coverage, replacing Original Medicare benefits.

These plans adhere to Medicare’s guidelines but have flexibility in setting co-pays, co-insurance, and other cost-sharing terms. They also include a yearly out-of-pocket maximum, which helps limit your annual medical expenses. To explore current plan details, costs, and enrollment options, schedule an appointment with a local agent.

Visit our New to Medicare? and Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) pages for more information on when to enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan.
